Campus Facilities & Services (F&S) consists of dedicated, experienced, and skilled professionals who take pride in helping the university achieve excellence through their many services. Unit facility managers work closely with campus F&S to ensure our facilities our facilities can support the diverse needs of our students, faculty, and staff.
Services Provided

- F&S also provides Engineering & Construction Services. Please consult with your building manager or the Office of Facilities so that we may support you with these projects. Submitting a Service Request
The Online Portal is the preferred method for requesting service, you may also email them at fsserviceoffice@illinois.edu. For urgent requests or questions call 217-333-0340. For more information about what to expect when placing a service request please visit F&S' Service Office.
Servicing and Decommissioning of Lab Equipment
To ensure the safety of F&S service personnel when removing unwanted equipment or during maintenance, repair, renovation and construction activities around hazardous materials it is critical that a unit contact knowledgeable of the hazardous material used in or around the equipment being serviced is involved throughout the process. For more information about the process and responsibilities please review the F&S SOP.
If there are or has been hazardous materials used in the equipment, appliances, or systems being serviced or decommissioned the unit contact must fill out the F&S Hazard Assessment Form. F&S will post a notice on your equipment to ensure lab users are aware that it is being serviced and should not be used until the service has been completed.
